A client once asked me:
Published
“What’s the point of all this data?”
Here’s what I told them:
⇨ Data isn’t the goal. ⇨ Decisions are. ⇨ Growth is.
You don’t invest in analytics just to stare at prettier dashboards. You invest because:
𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙙𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙙.
𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙨.
𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠.
That day, the client leaned back and said:
“So data is just the map. We still have to decide where to drive.”
Exactly.
And that’s the piece I think too many businesses forget: data guides, but leadership drives.
So let me ask you —
